Mission Statement:
Loveland Housing Authority (LHA) mission is to provide low and moderate income residents of Loveland with opportunities for home and community through housing.
Welcome:
Thank you for your interest in Loveland Housing Authority (LHA). We maintain waiting lists for our housing programs according to Federal housing laws. Our online Pre-application is an easy way to get your name on our waiting lists for apartments. LHA does not provide emergency/immediate housing.
Preferences:
In an effort to serve local residents first, LHA has a preference to serve applicants that live/work in Loveland first which will be verified. Windsor, Milliken and Estes Park have similar preferences for their city.
How To Start to get on Waiting Lists:
To access Waitlistcheck, you have to set up an account. Write your user name & password (12 characters; 1 upper & lower case letter, 1 number) down. Before you begin the application, you must have the names, date of births, and social security numbers available for all household members. You should also know the amount of gross income for each household member.
You must have a mailing address as well. Contact your local post office for general mail info, use family/friends address, etc.
If you are unsure which housing program or property is right for you, visit http://www.lovelandhousing.org/communities to review the property and program descriptions on our website before starting this application.
You must complete the entire application for the application to be valid along with submitting a Supplement to Application HUD-92006 form. This application does not allow you to save your partially completed application to revisit later.
This electronic application can only be filled out once. Any future changes to your application need to be completed at the Loveland Housing Authority.
It is the applicant responsibility to inform LHA of any changes of income, address, or family composition in writing by completing an updated application. We conduct a purge of the wait list at least annually, so it is important to keep your address current.
Screening:
Once you receive a letter (no phone calls) indicating your name has come to the top of the wait list, you will be screened for eligibility. All applicants will be screened equally before final acceptance into any LHA program(s). The screening involves criminal background check, previous landlord references & verification of income/assets.
There are no fees associated with applying to the waiting lists.
All persons will be treated fairly and equally according to the Fair Housing Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. LHA does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status (including children under the age of 18 living with parents or legal custodians, pregnant women, and people securing custody of children under the age of 18), and disability. A 504 Coordinator has been designated to coordinate compliance with the nondiscrimination requirements contained in the Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) regulations implementing Section 504 (24 CFR Part 8, dated June 2, 1988).
Income Limits:
Loveland Housing Authority has multiple housing programs with different income limits. If you have questions, please call LHA for assistance.
Resonable Accommodations:
Loveland Housing Authority will provide reasonable accommodations to ensure the application process is accessible to applicants who may have disabilities and cannot comply with the normal application process. LHA's obligation is to ensure the accessibility of the application process to elderly persons, people with disabilities and people with limited English proficiency (LEP). Applicants who require an accommodation, may contact Loveland Housing Authority.
