Welcome to the Ogle County Housing Authority Public Housing Program.
The Public Housing Program is a federally funded program that subsidizes safe, decent, and sanitary housing for low-income persons. Applicants must meet all U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development income and eligibility requirements.

HOW: Applications will be accepted online. Only one application per household will be accepted. Duplicate or fraudulent pre-applications will be rejected. Applications can be accessed at https://www.waitlistcheck.com/IL3114 Ogle County Housing Authority will accept applications as a reasonable accommodation for persons with disabilities at their office, located at 1001 Pines Road, Suite A, Oregon Illinois 61061 from 9:00am – 3:00 pm CST. WHERE: Applications can be submitted online with the use of a personal computer, laptop, smartphone, or tablet. There is no requirement to apply in person.
INFORMATION NEEDED: Full legal names, Social Security numbers, birthdates, and income information for every person in your household. The information you provide must be truthful and complete to the best of your knowledge. An email address or phone number will be required. As you complete the application process, you will create a login and password.
APPLICATION SELECTION: All eligible applications will be placed on the Wait List; however, this does not guarantee you will be eligible for assistance. Applications will be selected based on rank on the waitlist. The list is ranked by preference points, date, and time of application. The Ogle County Housing Authority has established these preferences and applicants will be required to provide documentation for any preferences applied to your household when your name is reached.
WAIT TIMES: The Housing Authority does not provide emergency or immediate housing. The amount of time you will wait before your application is selected may be months to years. Apartment turnover and HUD funding may also affect the wait time. You will be notified when your application has been selected. If you move after submitting the preliminary application, it is your responsibility to notify the Housing Authority in writing. If we are unable to contact you at the address provided, you will be removed from the Waiting List.
REASONABLE ACCOMODATION: If you are unable to use the online application site, it is the policy of Ogle County Housing Authority to provide reasonable accommodations to those persons with disabilities so that they can participate equally in its housing programs.
