Welcome to the Housing Authority of the Town of Morristown Low-Income Public Housing Manahan Village 2020 Waiting List Opening

Any individuals or families may apply for placement on the Manahan Village waiting list; and, in compliance with the Authority’s Admission and Continue Occupancy Policy, local preferences are given to applicants who live and work or work in Morristown, New Jersey, to select families from the waiting list.  A lottery preference will be conducted for 500 applications.

• The application will be available on the website starting Friday, June 19, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. (E.S.T.) until at least 500 applications are received. Applications are for waiting list only.  Applications will not be accepted by mail or in person at any Housing Authority offices.

   

• Applicants must have a valid email address to complete the online application.  If you don’t
  have one already, the application process will allow you to create a free Google gmail address. Your unique code will be emailed to you soon after you complete your application online.
  
  

• Waiting list placement and priority will be based on a computerized random selection (lottery process), 500 applications will be selected. Applications selected will be contacted by the Morristown Housing Authority through the U.S. Postal Service.
  
  

• Only one application per family will be accepted. Duplicate applications will be rejected by the application software. 
  
  

• Residency Preference will be verified when applicant reaches the top of the list, you will be asked to provide verification that you are eligible for this preference.
  
  

• Submission of an application does not guarantee placement on the waiting list, eligibility or an offer of an apartment.
  
  

• HUD requires all residents to meet income requirements when they begin participation in the program. The table below indicates the 2020 maximum income limits by household size (subject to change by HUD):
