Columbia Housing will accept pre-applications for the Oak Read High Rise located at 2211 Read Street on Monday, December 15th, 2025, and will continue accepting applications until further notice. Qualified applicants for the Oak Read High Rise must be at least 62 years of age or older. Applicants for this property will be selected using a computer-generated lottery system.

Completing a pre-application does not guarantee placement on the waitlist, and not all households that apply will be eligible for placement. The final waitlist will be determined using a random lottery. Applicants not selected in the lottery will not proceed in the process. Those who were selected will be notified by mail of their status.
Waitlist lottery results are final and cannot be appealed. Households not selected for this waitlist may reapply when the waitlist opens again. Information regarding the date, time, and place of future waitlist openings will be posted in advance on this website: columbiahousingsc.org
