Welcome to Sioux Falls Housing and Redevelopment Commission's (SFHRC) waiting list application. Applications for SFHRC's housing assistance programs are Online only. You are required to have an email address for this process. Online applications are available 24 hours a day.
Instructions
An applicant may at any time during the application process request a reasonable accommodation. A reasonable accommodation ensures that the persons with disabilities have full access to all SFHRC programs and services. Accommodations for disabled or non-English speaking applicants will be made available upon advance request by calling (605) 332-0704 or emailing sfhrc@siouxfallshousing.org.
You will need to enter the following information for each household member:
- First and last name
- Date of Birth (month, day, year)
- Social Security Number
- Income and asset amounts
- Emergency/Alternative contact information
Income Limits: All applicants must meet income requirements when they begin participation in the program. HUD Income Limits are subject to change. Income limits are based on gross income (before deductions).

There is no cost to complete this application for housing assistance. Any website requiring a fee is not legitimate and not associated with a housing authority.
It is very important that you provide correct information. All applicants who qualify for a preference will be placed before applicants on the waiting list who do not qualify for a preference. Therefore, you must update your application record when your address, household members, and income changes.
Complete and submit the application. Applicants will be contacted off of the waiting list based on preference, date and time applied. Applicants may verify their status by logging in with their user ID and password at https://www.waitlistcheck.com. An applicant may also call 605-231-9396 to verify they are on our waiting list and for which programs. To update your information such as household and income changes, please send changes to sfhrc@siouxfallshousing.org.
The applicant will be notified by email when their name has reached the top of the waiting list and funds are available. This notification will include instructions on what you need to do next. All information stated in the application will be verified. Should there be a change of information that would change your status on the waiting list that was not reported until the time you reached the top of the waiting list, your application may be returned to the waiting list in the correct position.
